It all started back in 1949 with my grandfather, he was an immigrant from Europe who had been working 14 hour days for 10 years without ever missing a single day of work.
One day he took a look at his life and decided it was time to start his own operation, so in 1949 he bit the bullet; and with every penny he ever saved, founded ESSEE Furniture and Floor Covering Inc.
For years we had been a small neighborhood store, servicing people and families throughout Hamilton Heights, Washington Heights and Harlem. Fast forward to today and we are proud to be one of the top flooring suppliers in the region. We specialize in furnishing our customers with high quality floor covering and no nonsense.
